Paper or Plastic?: Be Careful, it Will Cost You

Ikea seeks an answer to the question, “If it’s better for the environment, will people pay a premium for it?”

For some, the answer is yes, because we know that people are buying hybrid cars, but when this pay-for-play encroaches on other parts of your life that aren’t luxury goods, will it work?

In Ikea’s case it should work, because the plastic bags are a small part of the overall price per transaction, but where grocery stores are concerned, i don’t think this will become a prevalent practice.
