I have often posted on others blogs as well as plugged other competitors and I am a true believer in what you put out you will get back 10 fold. Better watch what you wish for. Yet better also watch what you post or rather don't post as it may kill your progress. I know articles can take a couple of hours to put together, yet plugs can take only minutes. You're so right that it's always easy to just put together an article telling about someone else's great content (giving them a plug). And I love what you said about the more credit you give to others, the more it reflects positively on you. Same as retweeting on Twitter! I think it's easy for people to feel overwhelmed about what to post on a blog. I often just think of a topic off the top of my head and write a few sentences to start.
