Can you imagine you rush to the hospital with a pain in your belly and the doctor says, “you have appendicitis”? Then, emergency surgeons open you up and find a tumor? Happened to me late last year, and as a cancer survivor my life will never be the same.
When you’re facing a couple months left of life, most of us push our egos aside and mend any misfortunes that have divided us from people we loved. I did it and these children with cancer are doing it every second. With every breath all they want is to give LOVE and be LOVED. When you’re dying, what’s important really stands out. Having been close to entering the promised land, I can identify with even the toughest of men who are blue collar workers, who may maintain a tough exterior but are really softies who truly and simply LOVE kids. Check out a whole bunch of construction workers who spray paint the names of the kids with cancer on the steel girders of a high-rise building so they can see their names from their hospital beds.
I hope this video inspires you to spread the wealth of LOVE within you and around you.

KATIE COURIC ‘S SOCIAL MEDIA SAVES LIVES
during March Colon Cancer Awareness Month!
My father died of colon cancer years ago and I give “Big Ups” to Katie Couric for the reminders to get checked for colon cancer.
Now Katie Couric is expanding that to help reach audiences online about colon cancer awareness and as a reminder for people to get screened. And for good reason, “when caught in its early stages, colorectal cancer is approximately 90% curable”. It is so easy as a parent to put their own health screening on the low end of the priority list. But I think we have an obligation as a parent to not only monitor our kids health but also to maintain our own.
As you may know, Katie lost her husband Jay to colon cancer ten years ago. Since then colon cancer awareness and prevention has been a cause near to her heart. March is Colon Cancer Awareness Month and Katie put together a video for her YouTube channel with recognizable faces who have loaned their talent for Public Service Announcements about the disease. You can check out the video here-
I also want to congratulate my dear friend, Nathaniel. He told me his mission was to lift up our heroes, “Kids with Cancer” and he did it. He has launched, A Single Light.org and I plan to help Nathaniel in anyway I can. Lets ask him now, “Nathaniel, what and how do you need support? My peeps who have HEART would like to know”.

I am always grateful that you found the source of your pain and were returned to me. My life is always richer each day that you are in it. Cancer is an equal opportunity trouble maker or is it a wake up call to those that head the subtle symptoms. I have decided to live long and healthy. Pamela
